Almond butter and fig jam smoothie
Diet: vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free • Serves: 2 • Prep time: 5 minutes
INGREDIENTS
2 bananas (fresh or frozen)
8 oz almond butter
1/4 c unsweetened almond milk
1 tbl fig jam
slivered almonds for topping
fresh figs, sliced (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Prep in 5 minutes.
In a food processor, combine bananas, almond butter, and almond milk; blend until smooth.
Put a spoonful of jam into the bottom of an adorable jar and pour almond butter mixture on top. Enjoy with slivered almonds and fresh figs.
This is essentially a peanut butter & jelly sandwich, but way classier.
It’s a delicious protein kick that I like to eat for breakfast or a snack.
